On November 9th we welcomed our beautiful new daughter Eloise Roy. She joined us a week early and it was a bit of a surprise. It all happened very quickly! We arrived at the hospital and she was with us in just over an hour. It’s the most incredible feeling staring at this little human you have carried for nine months. My Eloise (Ella for short) is a cuddly little girl and likes to be held all the time! Thank goodness for baby wraps! She’s bright eyed when she’s awake and is so alert for a newborn.
It’s been five weeks since Eloise has joined our family and it’s been busy to say the least. Everly has been as sweet as pie from the moment her sister came home. She’s always gentle with Eloise and kissing her on the head. I’m sure this will change over time, but right now I’m loving every moment of seeing her love for her. For weeks when you asked Everly what her sister said, her response with a sad face was “waaaaa!” It’s very funny.
I admit the sleepless nights and learning how to juggle being a Mama of two has been challenging, but I wouldn’t change for the world. Last week Jamie and I sat at the dinner table while both kids were crying (during the witching hour) and we just laughed. This is our new normal!
I’m excited to share our newborn shoot with all of you. I was lucky enough to team up with Sophia’s Flower shop to create the beautiful flower heart. Also, I am just love with the lace muslin we wrapped Eloise in. It’s made my Emma Nate Co who makes handmade baby goods. They are offering 15% off right now with the code: CLAIRE15. Our incredible photographer was Jen from Blush Sky Photography. She is so talented and we love working with her!
