Who says lemonade stands are just for little ones? A few of us ladies got together and decided to put an adult twist on the classic kids lemonade stand. From the perfect spiked lemon cocktail to the beautiful décor and a delicious lemon meringue pie, thought was put into every little detail. Looking back, I love how we mixed the playfulness of all of the décor elements. I was lucky enough to be sounded by an amazing group of very creative ladies that made this all happen!
The idea was that we would all pitch in our own design ideas and contribute with our own personal flair. We were lucky enough to have some incredible local vendors that contributed to the event.
My contribution was the florals and the candy goodie bags. I called upon the help of one of my favorite florists in the Fraser Valley, Sophia’s flower shop. Together we created a beautiful greenery garland with soft pink roses on the corner of the recycled pallet lemonade stand. I am a big fan of using eucalyptus for garland! The bottom of the chalkboard stand was also filled with lots of greenery and pops of different coloured pinks. We took something simple like a chalkboard and dressed it up! The other part of my contribution to the event were the candy goodie bags. Emily from Emily Cuthbert Designs created the most amazing lemon tags for them. Each tag had a lemon with the guests’ initials. It’s those little details that I really love at events!
Looking back on this summer afternoon with the ladies, not only was it a fun event, but it was also a great way to bring all of our different creative ideas to the table to create something both beautiful and unique!
